Bamboo Train

Yesterday, Mr. Sothea and I went on a ride on Battambang's famous Bamboo Train. The Bamboo Train, built by the French when they controlled Cambodia, runs from Battambang to Phnom Penh and from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville. It acts mostly as a tourist attraction but is also used for transporting goods between villages. The rule of the train is that if you encounter another cart coming from the opposite direction, the cart with fewer people on it must get off the rail to let the other cart pass.

I just want to be your friend!
