I've just started packing so I guess my journey has finally begun. I leave for Cambodia from LAX on Thursday morning at 1 am. During my last days in Tulsa I've enjoyed speaking in a rediscovered Okie accent, stuffing myself with fried food, and spending time with some wonderful friends and family. My mom is awesome and bought me a camera a couple of days ago. I'll be using it to take photographs of my students, who will be documented for The Face to Face Aids Project. So, today my longtime (&wonderful & awesome!) friend and I trudged over to Woodward Park to let me try out my new cam in some unbearable humidity and heat. Woodward park lies between our houses and holds many memories from childhood, especially high school. Most kids from midtown Tulsa can say the same thing.
Some good 'folk. Enjoying Woodward Park, solo cups and all.
