I grew up reading Conde Nast Traveler. The magazine's photos and articles sent me to places far away from my parents house in Oklahoma. The July issue showed up at my door a couple of days ago and I thought it was interesting that there was a feature on Cambodia. Last year, before I left to live in Buenos Aires for five weeks, the magazine's cover article was about the same city. The enlarged quote on the page of the article read something like "Buenos Aires, a city where people go to re-discover themselves". In a way, I think that is an accurate description of my time spent there.
Although the article on Cambodia mostly pertains to the temples at Angkor Watt, I am still excited to see that Conde Nast and I are on the same wavelength. Hopefully this article brings me the same luck in Cambodia that I had in Buenos Aires.
I leave for Cambodia in ten days! Today I am meeting with my favorite teacher from high school to help me create lesson plans for the English classes that I will be teaching there. Gratias Magistra!

Not Argentina, not Cambodia, but now I really want to visit you and your hometown in Oklahoma!!
ReplyDeleteand, I am so ready to read about your time in Cambodia. Let's plan so that your next trip back to SE Asia will be in Vietnam :).
Take care, enjoy yourself, and update the blog often
