For the past month I've been working on Akun Cambodia, a line of bags and purses made by Cambodian women who suffer from HIV/AIDS and poverty. All profits from these bags and purses go to these women, allowing them to enjoy a better livelihood. The purses will be for sale in the lobby of the Rottanak Resort in Battambang, Cambodia. The women are so excited for the launch of this project and I had so much fun creating it!
All bags and purses are designed by me! =)
Large tote bag.
The woman who helped me make all the models of the purses and bags I designed. This is her baby girl who just got over Dengue Fever!
Women of all ages come to the Salvation Centre Cambodia to learn how to sew. This month they were working on making school uniforms for all of the children at the SCC.
Its currently rainy season in Cambodia so it was difficult to get great lighting for taking photos. The colors in the prints are really intense and unfortunately don't come through in these photos!
Natalie, you're amazing.
